this book really helps to show his thought patterns and motivations. Getting to hear his side of the story really helps to give a new light to some of his actions in the series. I also just enjoyed getting to explore Edward’s mind. it has given the world a new freshness for me. I just really loved getting all these new details about their world. They are so much more complex than we ever knew before. We learn so much about them in this book and how they actually work. There was so much more information given to us in this book, and so much expansion on prior information. this book reveals more about the Cullen’s and vampires in general, then all of the other books put together. I also just genuinely liked hearing Edward’s side of the story. We all know that Bella isn’t the most reliable narrator, so it is really interesting hearing the story from another perspective. I actually really liked reading from Edward’s point of view. to the extent that I accidentally stayed up until 3 am two days running, because I just didn’t want to stop reading. I felt like I was 13 again, reading Twilight for the very first time. I wasn’t expecting to get as drawn into the story as I was. obviously, I already knew the story (I’ve read the Twilight Saga so many times that I’ve lost count) and having read the Leaked draft, I had an idea of what to expect in regards to Edward’s POV. This book was everything that I wanted it to be and so much more. but, do you know what, I loved every damn second of this book!
I have read the leaked draft so many times that it feels surreal to have actually read the finished book. I have waited over a decade for this book. I can’t quite believe that I have actually read this book.
